What applies when I book a cottage or camping pitch?
Important facts!
The SCR camping card is applicable at our campsites. As a rule you have access to your cottage/camping pitch from 15.00 on the day of arrival, until 12.00 (cottage) 15.00 (camping pitch) day of departure. We reserve the right to move you to equivalent accommodation due to circumstances beyond our control. As the letter, we Framnäs Camping AB, are required to ensure you receive a written confirmation to your reservation and that the cottage/camping pitch comports with the description.
When does the reservation become binding?
The reservation is binding on both parties as soon as we have confirmed it and you have submitted payment for the deposit, if applicable, or otherwise paid the full amount.
When should I submit payment?
You should submit payment for the deposit within 10 days from when we sent you the confirmation/invoice. The amount will be deducted from your rent (see date and amount on your invoice). Remaining balance is payable no later than 40 days prior to date of arrival. If you make your reservation within 40 days of date of arrival, you are required to submit payment in full within 10 days from when we sent you the confirmation/invoice, unless otherwise stated (see date and amount on invoice).
What happens if I wish to cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation orally or in writing directly to us. If the reservation has been confirmed in writing by us, we are also required to confirm your cancellation in writing.
If you have not taken out a cancellation insurance there is no refund of payment. Cancellation insurance must be bought at the same time as making the reservation. It goes into effect 40 days prior to arrival and entitles you to cancel up until the day before arrival and receive a refund of the full amount of the rent, minus cancellation insurance and administrative costs, and applies under the following circumstances, (provided they were not known at the time of your booking):
- Death, sickness or serious accident affecting you, your husband/wife, cohabitant, family or travelling companion.
- Draft notice for induction into the armed forces or civil defence.
- Other serious events beyond your control, which you could not have foreseen at the time of booking, and which would render it unreasonable to demand that you honour your booking, for example, an extensive fire or flood in your home. You must be able to substantiate your impediment by a certified statement from a doctor, government agency or insurance company, for example. The certified statement should be sent to us as soon as possible, but no more than one week after the date of cancellation.
What are my rights?
If we fail to give you the cottage in the condition promised or at the right time, and are unable to offer you another equivalent cottage, you are entitled to cancel the rental agreement. We will then be required to refund all money received from you, as well as to reimburse you for your substantiated expenses, minus a deduction for any use and enjoyment of the cottage you may have had. Instead of terminating the rental agreement, you may request that we reduce the rent. If you have complaints, you are required to present them to us as soon as possible. Notify us of immediately of any defects arising during the stay, so we can have an opportunity to remedy them. You are entitled to have another person take your place, change cottage/camping pitch or rental period (if available) for a smaller fee.
What are my obligations?
You are required to take good care of the cottage and follow the rules, instructions and regulations that apply. You are personally responsible for any damage to the cottage or its fixtures and furnishings that may arise during the term of the tenancy as a result of your negligence or that of any other person in your party. You may not use the cottage for a purpose other than what was agreed at the time of the booking (usually recreation). You may not allow any persons to spend the night in the cottage or on its grounds other than those you specified at the time of booking. You are required to clean the premises thoroughly according to instructions posted in the cottage before your departure. If you fail to do so, cleaning will be done at your expense. (Final cleaning can be booked at reception).
War, natural disasters, strikes, etc.
Both parties are entitled to cancel the rental agreement in the event that the cottage is not accessible due to acts of war, natural disasters, labour market conflicts, lengthy disruptions of water or electricity supply, fire or other similar major events that neither party could foresee or influence. In such cases, we are required to refund what you’ve paid without delay, minus a deduction for any use and enjoyment of the cottage you may have had.
What happens if we cannot agree?
Please contact us immediately with any complaints you may have. Remember that your possibilities of having the situation corrected may decrease if you delay contacting us with your complaints. If we cannot agree, you can contact the National Board for Consumer Complaints (Sw. Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden.
